Envirium Life Sciences is pleased to welcome Varun Kumar Rai as new General Manager of Kamapim Ltd, our subsidiary in Papua New Guinea.

Since its creation in 2018, Kamapim has built long-term relationships with local communities, improving vanilla quality and leading impactful projects.

Varun has already made his mark by successfully launching the company’s new cocoa activity and overseeing the export of Kamapim’s first containers. With this leadership transition, Kamapim is poised to build on its achievements, diversify its portfolio, and create lasting value for the communities and partners it serves.”

With over 12 years of experience across pharmaceuticals, insurance, healthcare, diagnostics, and medical devices, Varun Kumar Rai has built a strong track record in driving growth and strategic transformation. He’s particularly enthusiastic about this new challenge: “I chose to join Kamapim to gain broader exposure to the Papua New Guinea (PNG) community and to engage in sustainable work across the provinces,” he says. “My previous experience offered limited opportunities to connect with rural communities and understand the dynamics of the local economy. Through Kamapim, I’m able to immerse myself more deeply in rural development and contribute meaningfully to initiatives that support long-term sustainability in these areas.”
